Portrait of Graeme, wedding filmmaker at William Graham Films
About

About Graeme

It all started with our own home movies. I loved turning everyday family moments into something worth watching again, and that hobby became a job with a UK wedding video company. A few years later I started my own business, and I filmed weddings across North West England for ten years.

When the industry changed, we made the call to put the lens away and focus on family life. I never really stopped, though. I kept editing our home movies, because those films have always mattered to us.

We moved to Australia just over three years ago. Filming our new life here, with all its natural beauty, reminded me how much I love telling stories on camera. So I’ve unpacked the lens again, this time with a fresh approach.

William Graham Films is about honest, unhurried films of your day. I stay in the background so you can be present, I record every vow with clean, clear sound, and I edit your film the way I edit our own: like a keepsake your family will watch for years.

How I work

Present, but never in the way

  • Quietly in the backgroundI keep a low profile on the day, so you and your guests stay relaxed and natural.
  • Very little directionI’d rather capture what really happens than stage it. Any guidance is gentle and brief.
  • Sound as much as pictureVows, speeches and the voices of family and friends are the thread that carries each story.
  • Made to lastHonest colour and a considered edit, so your film still feels right decades from now.
